DetailsStain removers (spotters) are used to pre-treat individual stubborn stains — blood, make-up, lipstick, grease, oil, coffee, wine and rust — that the main detergent and bleach do not remove. They are applied directly to the stain, and the linen is then washed on the usual programme.
The CLAX Magic line covers every stain type with four ready-to-use products: Magic Protein (enzymatic, for blood, food and other protein stains), Magic Oxi (coffee, tea, wine, fruit juices), Magic Multi (universal, for a wide range of stubborn stains) and Magic Rust (rust and iron). The CLAX Magic Starterkit contains all four in one pack. Hagleitner flair FS is a spray for greasy, oily and pigment stains (lipstick, make-up) on kitchen wear, tablecloths and terry towelling, and flair RUSTEX removes rust stains from all types of linen except wool and silk.
For rust on larger volumes of linen there is CLAX Rust Reclaim, an oxalic-acid powder for rust stains that remain after washing, and CLAX Rust for automatic dosing where the water contains a lot of iron — it removes rust traces and prevents yellowing of linen. For whiteness and coffee or wine stains across the whole load, see our laundry bleaches.
Blood, egg, milk and food residues: CLAX Magic Protein. Coffee, tea, wine, fruit and juices: CLAX Magic Oxi. Make-up, lipstick, grease and oil: Hagleitner flair FS or CLAX Magic Multi. Rust and iron: CLAX Magic Rust or Hagleitner flair RUSTEX. If you do not know what caused the stain, start with CLAX Magic Multi.
Apply the product directly to the stain, leave it for the time stated in the instructions, gently work it in with a soft brush if needed and wash the linen on the usual programme. Do not let the product dry on the fabric, and check colourfastness on a hidden area before first use.
Heat sets protein stains (blood, egg, milk) into the fibre, making them hard to remove afterwards. Such stains are first treated with an enzymatic spotter (CLAX Magic Protein) and washed on a programme that starts with a cold prewash, and only then at a higher temperature.
