For automatic dosing: CLAX Hypo Conc is a concentrated chlorine bleach for white linen at low temperatures, CLAX Personril a liquid oxygen bleach for low and medium temperatures, CLAX Bright Bleach a peracid-based oxygen bleach and stain remover, and CLAX Crisp a bleach booster for cold-water washing. For manual dosing: CLAX Oxy, an oxygen bleach powder for high temperatures, and CLAX Activ Conc, a concentrated laundry bleaching powder.
Chlorine bleach is for white and undyed linen only; for coloured textiles choose an oxygen bleach or a bleach-free detergent. Treat individual stubborn stains before washing with a stain remover, and if linen greys because of hard water, add a sequestrant-based laundry booster alongside the bleach.
Chlorine bleach strips colour, so it is used for white and undyed linen only. Oxygen bleaches (CLAX Personril, CLAX Bright Bleach) are gentler on colours, but even with these, check colourfastness and the technical data sheet recommendation before first use.
The most common causes are hard water, too little detergent for the soiling level, too low a temperature or iron in the water. Bleach restores whiteness, but the cause should be fixed in the wash programme: a sequestrant-based booster (CLAX Renova), the correct detergent dosage and, where the water contains iron, a rust treatment (CLAX Rust).
It depends on the type: CLAX Hypo Conc and CLAX Personril work at lower temperatures, CLAX Crisp is designed for cold-water washing, and CLAX Oxy powder for high temperatures. The exact temperature range and dosage are given in each product's technical data sheet.
