Bottles, dispensers or cartridges

Individual bottles are standard in higher-category hotels and apartments — every guest gets a new, sealed pack. Wall-mounted dispensers with refills (Welcome 380 ml / 5 L) or sealed cartridges (Hagleitner LUNA showerMAID) reduce the cost per overnight stay and eliminate plastic waste; cartridges are hygienic because they cannot be opened or topped up. Most hotels now combine the two: dispensers in standard rooms and the spa, bottles in suites. Hotel amenities go hand in hand with hand soaps in public toilets and hygiene paper from the same supplier.
