ecoSTORM

ecoSTORM is a Diversey (Solenis) system for automatic biological drain maintenance, developed in NCH laboratories. A battery-powered, wall-mounted dosing unit injects active bacteria directly into the drain four times a day, where they break down fats, oils and organic residues before these build up in the pipes — so there are no blockages, no backflow and no unpleasant odours. No mains power or water connection is needed, there are no chemicals on the floor and there is no manual dosing.

The system consists of three elements: the ecoSTORM dosing unit, Free-Flow Liq — a concentrate with a high count of spore-forming bacteria that break down fats, proteins and carbohydrates — and the Nutrient Liq — a calcium nitrate-based bio-activator that supplies oxygen to the drain and prevents the formation of hydrogen sulphide and odours. A 500 ml cartridge lasts around 45 days. To introduce the system, use the Free-Flow and Nutrient starter kits.
