Paper hand towels

Paper hand towels are the most hygienic way to dry hands in high-traffic washrooms — they are used once and discarded, and consumption per user is controlled by the dispenser. Folded towels or rolls

Folded towels (Z-fold, V-fold, M-fold) are dispensed one at a time from a folded towel dispenser: Z-fold (interfold) towels are folded in three and each one pulls the next out behind it, V-fold is the simplest and cheapest format, and M-fold gives a larger sheet. A case usually contains 15–25 packs of 150–200 sheets (3000–4000 sheets per case), which is enough for a washroom with 50–80 users a day for about a month. Roll towels go into an autocut or manual dispenser that always cuts the same sheet length (usually 20–25 cm) — this gives the lowest consumption per person, and a 150–350 m roll yields 600–1700 sheets, so staff refill less often. For kitchens, workshops and surgeries there are multipurpose rolls and centrefeed rolls.

One ply or two

Two-ply virgin pulp towels (Scott, Satino Prestige, Lucart Strong, Eurocarta Cento) absorb faster and guests take only one, so in hotels and restaurants they end up cheaper than single-ply towels. Single-ply towels and the recycled LUCART EcoNatural, made from beverage carton packaging, are the choice for high-traffic premises where the price per sheet and environmental standards (Ecolabel, FSC) matter.

Towel and dispenser go together

The towel format must match the dispenser: Scott Essential and Slimroll rolls go into Aquarius holders, LUCART Identity and EcoNatural into Lucart ID autocut systems, Satino Prestige and PureSoft into Satino holders, and folded towels into universal Z/V-fold dispensers. We supply dispensers with the towels and install them on site; with a consumables supply agreement, dispensers are provided on loan.

The right towel for each sector

Hotels — autocut rolls (Satino Prestige, Scott Slimroll) in public toilets, two-ply folded towels in rooms and the spa area. Restaurants and cafés — controlled-dispensing rolls in guest toilets, washable Airtech towels and industrial rolls in the kitchen. Surgeries, laboratories and nurseries — Z-fold towels (one touch, one sheet) or Satino Liquify, which dissolves in water and therefore does not block drains. Production and workshops — Eurocarta Dynamic and Lucart Strong multipurpose rolls.
